At Darwin Day Surgery we are the facility in which the surgeons visit to perform procedures. Therefore, in order for you to have a procedure performed with us you will require a referral from your GP to see one of the specialists that operates here. From there the process involves contacting the specialists consulting rooms to make an appointment. They will then book you onto the next available list with us at Darwin Day Surgery.
Our friendly administration staff will then get in contact with you to discuss the process from hereon and inform you of any fees that may be incurred. See the attached information for more details of our fee structure and the new patients tab for a full explanation of what to expect.
Be advised that we currently operate on children above 12 years old.
Please take the time to view the specialties below that we currently offer.

Following the procedure they will explain any findings with you and give you a printed report for you to take home on the day.
They also offer “Open Access Referral Endoscopy”, whereby your GP directly refers you for your endoscopy procedure, without having to see the gastroenterologist prior. Your GP will send your information directly to NT Medical Specialist and the gastroenterologist will then speak with you before your procedure at Darwin Day Surgery. This commonly will help speed up the timing of having these procedures performed, but will require your GP to explain the indications and risks to you prior to the day of the procedure.
